Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky

Smooth tasting flavors of creamy vanilla and a heather honey sweetness, finishing in a smoky Highland glow of surprising intensity.

Distilled  in 1982 from Duncan Taylor’s Rare Auld range.  Immediate notes are the deep aged oak and sweet apple aromas.

Eye: Golden light honey.

Nose: Sweet honey oak and light smoke.

Palate: Apples and then major fungal overtones of oak… with a smack of peat for good measure.

Finish: Dry, Smoky, Fungal, and Sweet. Apple meets oak, and they get down together. Giggity.

Highland Single Malt Scotch

Edradour is produced in Scotland’s smallest distillery – and is hand made today as it was over 150 years ago by just three men who are devoted to the time-honoured methods of whisky making. Indeed equipment used at the distillery has remained unchanged since the day the distillery opened and is only just capable of producing commercial quantities. Only 12 casks of whisky are produced a week, making Edradour single malt a rare pleasure for a fortunate few.

Heavily Peated Highland Single Malt Scotch Whiskey, Matured solely in Port Hogheads and bottled Unchillfiltered.

Colour:  Rich amber

Nose:   Complex, with distinctive butterscotch, sherried fruit and peat smoke aromas.

Flavour:  Big, full-flavoured, with excellent balance, develops slowly, full of sherry sweet malty tones, and a touch peat smoke.

Finish:  Long lasting and smooth, with a hint of spice and sherry sweetness.

Comment: Hints of oak, complexity but finely balanced. Combines the smoothness of our younger whiskies with the greater depth of our older expressions.

Bottled in limited quantities primarily for the North American, Japanese and Travel Retail markets.
