About the Wine: Antidoto’s intriguing name—Spanish for “antidote”—reflects winemaker Bertrand Sourdais’ belief that the wine is an antidote to the trend in Ribera to substitute heavy-handed winemaking for a sense of place and variety. In the right hands, the wines of the Soría sub-zone blend Rioja’s fragrance and finesse with Ribera del Duero’s traditional power and depth. To maximize these qualities, he uses long, gentle macerations to minimize tannin extraction and only used barrels for aging. 

Location Notes: Antidoto is located in the province of Soria, in perhaps the coolest microclimate of the Ribera del Duero appellation. Soils differ dramatically from the main zone of Ribera, almost 100 km down river, and the resulting wines are considerably fresher.

Aging: 14 months in 2nds and 3rd passage French barrique.

Vintage Notes: Similar in concentration to the great 2009 vintage, but with perhaps a little fresher style. An extraordinary vintage that will rival 2009.

Tasting Notes: “Bright purple. Expressive aromas of black raspberry, cassis, potpourri and cracked pepper, with a hint of anise in the background. Intensely flavored, penetrating and precise yet quite lithe, with very good spicy lift to its dark berry and floral pastille flavors. Finishes with fine-grained tannins, zesty mineral cut and lingering spiciness.”  -Josh Raynolds


Winemaker’s Notes

Luminous ruby color. Forest berries, spices, leather, moist earth and dried plum, layered in the aroma. Soft, round taste, well-balanced acidity and clean and persistent aftertaste. Very pleasing, and ready to drink.

Pair with flavorful first-course dishes, such as pasta, polenta, risotto, or with cheese and red meats.

Thirty-four years after it was first produced by the Bogle family in 1978, Petite Sirah is today considered Bogle’s “heritage” varietal. Once again the trademark qualities shine through in a wine that is supple, luscious and easy to enjoy.Deeply inky, this wine coats the glass and lingers before the first sip has been taken. Heady aromas of boysenberries and blackberries headline the entry, while flavors of wild blueberries steal the show. Full-bodied and concentrated, seductive juniper and anise tangle with coffee and leather tones as the wine’s finish lingers on stage. Enduring and enthralling, this wine is perfectly suited for an encore.


The Cab Franc fruit is just so palpable, like the grapes were just picked and crushed a few days ago. Redolent of the quaffable characteristic we all totally love in this wine. ORGANIC

The base is composed of vineyard soil balanced elements consisting of sufficiently structured by its microbiological activity and organic substances properly. It is on this that should be sought natural interaction exerted on these bases in the living space, so that the multiplicity of living organisms and plants is assured and the balance of nature is respected as much as possible.

Ahead of its time, Le Domaine de l’écu has been certified as an organic agriculturist since 1975 and certified in Biodynamics since 1988 (Demeter) for the whole of its 23 hectares.  In addition, we have renounced all artificial technology in our cellars to break with the movement of standardisation of wines and preserve the bond linking each one of our vats to a particular soil and a particular vintage.

We are proud to belong to the group “Renaissance des Appellations” who strongly recommend this respect of the soil and who gather together a large number of the great European wine producers. Ploughing, low yields, harvest by hand, use of gravity (no use of pump before bottling), no racking of the must, indigenous yeasts and very few sulfites or no sulfites. Just true wines, no make up !

MEPHISTO is 100% Cabernet Franc.  Biodynamic, hand-harvested.  Native yeast fermentation.  No fining.  No filtration.  No sulfites.  Comes from granite soils.  Aged 14 months both in used barrels and amphoras.



Super allocated, special blend from Domaine de L’Ecu located in the Muscadet region of the Loire Valley of France.  This is a truly special, interesting red wine.

Viticulture: Organically farmed since 1975, biodynamic-demeter certified since 1998. Soul worked manually and yields are kept low. All grapes are hand harvested.
Vinification: Gravity fed with no use of pumps. Wild yeast fermentations with no racking of the must.
Aging: Aged on the lees in underground vats for 15 months.
Production: 1500 cases

Notes: “Usually the most mineral-driven and delineated of the lineup, the granite has an elegant nose with pronounced notes of mineral, flint, silex, citrus fruits and oyster shells. The attack is sharp and precise, the palate is crystalline and pure, with salty, mineral notes, combined with chalk and citrus fruits. A transporting wine that promises to be long-lived. “


Domaine Guillot-Broux is a 16 hectare certified organic vineyard in the Macon. The vines can be found thriving on three separate appellations within the Macon; Cruzille, Grévilly and Chardonnay. Winemaker Emmanuel Guillot-Broux makes quintessential high-quality Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Gamay in northern Burgundy. The vines are on eastern facing slopes that mainly consist of clay and limestone with a subsoil of compact blue clay. With vines producing between 30 and 55 hectoliters a hectare, the dense planting of the vines increases competition between the vines, making the fruit in each grape highly concentrated. Emmanuel’s goal is to have as few grapes per vine naturally; this increases the concentration of flavors and the balance of the wine.


Our Estate Biodynamic Petite Sirah is full-bodied and rich with flavors of caramel, cocoa, and berries. A choice blend of 81% Petite Sirah, 16% Zinfandel, 3% Syrah. Enjoy its spicy character with grilled mushrooms, thick marinara sauces and rich choco- late or creamy desserts.

Alcohol: 11.9% by volume. Total sulfite, naturally occurring: TTB analysis, 0ppm. Total production: 400 cases.
